Recent developments in spinal decompression traction equipment has led to a higher success rate of disc healing than previous treatment options. The procedure relieves pressure that builds up on the discs and nerves by drawing the herniated disc back into place. This is accomplished by elongating the spine which creates negative pressure within the disc, referred to as negative intra-discal pressure. The vacuum pressure draws the bulging and herniated disc off the nerve and back into place. The process relieves the pressures within the disc allowing the stretched or torn disc cartilage fibers to heal and tighten.

Intervertebral discs are commonly treated for abnormal function due to displacement of the nucleus pulposus, the gelatinous center that acts as a ball-bearing joint and shock absorber. The surrounding annulus fibrosus, rubber band like layers of fibro-elastic tissue, maintains a grip of the central nucleus pulposus. Spinal disc herniation is treated in a variety of ways, from exercise therapy or manipulation to surgery.

Acupuncture Point Distribution

Acupuncture: Reduces pain, accelerates healing. Enjoy this short movie about it.

Acupuncture is a technique of inserting and manipulating tiny (hair like) filiform needles into "acupuncture points" located all over the surface of the body. It's goal is to restore health and well-being, e.g. treating pain and diseases. Acupuncture points are access point into the body's electrical grid. Balancing the grid reduces pain and restores body function.

Originating in China some 5000 years ago, acupuncture is most commonly associated with Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Different types of acupuncture (Classical Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, and Korean acupuncture) are practiced and taught throughout the world.

Chiropractic: Removes nerve pressure, improves vertebral alignment & gliding. Enjoy this

 Gentle Chiropractic Spinal Manipulation Technique

Chiropractic (from Greek chiros and praktikos meaning "done by hand") is a health care profession whose purpose is to diagnose and treat mechanical disorders of the spine and musculoskeletal system with the intention of affecting the nervous system and improving health. It is based on the premise that a spinal joint dysfunction can interfere with the nervous system and result in many different conditions of pain and diminished health. While some chiropractors use the term vertebral subluxation to describe what they treat, others concentrate on the musculoskeletal components of spinal injury to rehabilitate the spine. Subluxation is typically a consequence of injury to joints or associated nerves. Chiropractic treatments typically include spinal adjustments and other therapies.Chiropractic was founded in 1895 by D. D. Palmer, and is practiced in more than 100 countries.

 Electrical Interferential Therapy

Diathermy, Electrotherapy and Physiotherapy: Improves tissue metabolism.

Physiotherapy is concerned with the management of pain, spasm and other movement disorders. It is used to reduce inflammation and swelling and speed up tissue repair. These therapies are performed by licensed healthcare providers. Physiotherapy includes electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, laser, diathermy, hot and cold. We utilize these therapies to improve and speed up our results.

 Hyperextension exercise of the spine

Exercise Rehabilitation: Strengthens and stabilizes the area of injury

Exercise Rehabilitation is a group of manual activities that develops or maintains physical fitness and overall health. It is recommended to strengthen the muscles and tissues involved in your condition or injury. It can also "lock in" and stabilize our treatment results. This guards against re-injury.

Frequent and regular physical exercise boosts the immune system, and helps prevent diseases such as cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes and obesity. It also improves mental health and helps prevent depression.
